Empathy and boundless enthusiasm

Our most recent clients have been in the employment, youth, community services, crisis services where we have worked to harness the brand story and how it can be applied to ensure a positive impact is made.

Jen’s previous work in the Tasmanian arts and events industries provides organisations with the opportunity to tap into creative thinking and avail of her lateral approach to marketing and communications.

Digital Dandy was founded in 2013 by Irish ex-pat Jen Murnaghan. With over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, Jen’s career began in Dublin and took her to London, Sydney, and now Hobart. She initially established her digital marketing consultancy to support local businesses in amplifying their online presence and has evolved to now offer brand and content marketing services to not-for-profit organisations, community services, the arts, events, tourism and small business. She has also worked with Tasmanian authors, distillers and wine makers.

Jen’s diverse background began working in media with the European Commission in Dublin and her first job in Australia was media liaison officer at the Sydney Olympic Games. In Sydney she worked in interior fabric wholesaling, managing multiple international brands for Mokum. She also worked with the Florence Broadhurst collection at Signature Prints and made jewellery for Australian indie darling Polli.

Since relocating to Hobart in 2009 she has been a bookseller at Hobart's Fullers Bookshop, a staff writer for the Australian children’s blog KidStylefile, a marketing consultant at Babes in Arms, and a co-curator for MONA’s MoMa market. Additionally, she ran her own tea towel design business, Dish Pig.

Her career evolved to focus on consulting. Digital Dandy has worked with local and state government, charities, social enterprises, festivals and events, and small businesses in the creative arts, tourism and hospitality industries. Jen has coached for the Department of State Growth’s Digital Ready program for eight years, currently presents workshops for Brand Tasmania and is working with not-for-profit and for purpose organisations who are looking to develop their brand story.

Jen is interested in working with clients to help translate their story into ways that create impact. If you have ideas but just don't know how to implement them, then the services at Digital Dandy may be worth an enquiry.
